<h1><strong>What is EcoVero Viscose?</strong></h1>
EcoVero is a unique, eco-friendly viscose fiber introduced by the Lenzing Group. The Lenzing EcoVero fibers are derived from wood, utilizing the most sustainable wood sources for viscose fiber production, along with an environmentally-friendly production process. Compared to traditional viscose, EcoVero can significantly reduce emissions and impact on water resources. This is an important new milestone in Lenzing’s path towards sustainable development.
EcoVero:
As environmental protection requirements have become increasingly stringent and consumer environmental awareness has grown, the demands on clothing have expanded beyond just comfort and style – consumers now also require natural, eco-friendly materials. Fabric qualities such as lightness, fluidity, smoothness, and vivid colors all need to reach unparalleled standards.
EcoVero is made from European wood that is certified as sustainable by FSC and PEFC, replacing the previous practice of using bamboo and eucalyptus as the raw materials for viscose. Over 60% of the wood used for EcoVero originates from the Austria and Bavaria regions, ensuring low emissions. This new, eco-friendly viscose fiber is produced following three key principles: using sustainable wood resources, an environmentally-friendly production process, and a 100% transparent supply chain.

<strong>Wood</strong> – our natural and renewable raw material, wood and pulp, comes from certified and controlled sources derived from sustainably managed forests. The non-profit environmental protection organization Canopy has consistently ranked Lenzing among the top viscose producers worldwide for our sustainable wood and pulp sourcing practices.

Thanks to these eco-responsible production practices, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ has a much lower environmental impact than generic viscose, as confirmed by the Higg MSI*, leaving air and water cleaner. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are certified with the EU Ecolabel.
